The MAG540w3 is a high-performance 4K set-top box (STB) equipped with the latest technology. It features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 processor, making it much more powerful than previous STBs.

The interface continuity makes the model easy to integrate into projects that previously used MAG set-top boxes. Infomir can also integrate set-top boxes with CAS/DRM and middleware, as requested by the operator.

Audio and Video

The MAG540w3 supports various video modes, including PAL, NTSC, 576p, 720p, 1080p, 1080i, and 2160p (4K). It also offers a range of audio codecs, such as MPEG L1/L2/L3l, AAC-LC, HE AAC V1/V2, APE, FLAC, and Dolby Digital Plus™.

Video codecs supported by the MAG540w3 include MPEG1/2 MP@HL, MPEG4 part 2 (ASP), H.265 Main/Main 10@L5.1 High 2160p@60 fps (optional), H.264 AVC High@L5.1 2160p@30 fps, XviD, and support for 3D video. It also supports various video containers, including TS, AVI, MPEG, MP4, MOV, MKV, M2TS, and VOB.

For image formats, the MAG540w3 supports JPEG, PNG, BMP, and RAW. It also supports subtitles in different formats, such as DVB, PGS, SRT, SSA/ASS, SUB, teletext, WebVtt, and closed captions.

The MAG540w3 offers playlist formats such as M3U, M3U8, PLS, and CUE.

Hardware

The MAG540w3 is equipped with the Amlogic S905Y4-B chipset, which provides high performance with its 16,500 DMIPS processor. The set-top box features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 processor running at 2,000 MHz, 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 4 GB of eMMC flash memory.

Firmware and CAS/DRM

The MAG540w3 operates on Linux 4.9 with CAS/DRM support. Middleware support is also available, allowing for pre-integrated Ministra TV platform, image enhancement with operator apps, customization, or even a full replacement.

Interfaces

The MAG540w3 features a range of digital ports, including HDMI 2.1, Ethernet (100 Mbps), USB (2.0 x 2), and Wi-Fi (built-in 2T2R ac). For power input, it requires a DC 5V, 2A adapter (DC 12V, 1A optional).
